Summary:碩士 === 國立澎湖科技大學 === 觀光休閒事業管理研究所 === 103 === This study was designed to investigate the relationship of lifeguards’ test-taking motivation, their perceived cognitive value of participation in the training process and involvement across different demographic variables. It was intended to explore the correlation of three variables, including test-taking motivation & cognitive value, cognitive value & involvement, and test-taking motivation & involvement. In addition, it is aimed to examine the causal relationship of test-taking motivation & cognitive value on involvement. Through purposive sampling, 558 valid samples were selected in this study. Research methods include T-test, one-way ANOVA, Scheffe, Canonical Correlation Analysis, Pearson’s Product-moment Canonical and M Multiple Stepwise Regression Analysis. The results of this study showed that 1) there is a significant difference of different demographic variables in test-taking motivation, cognitive value and psychological value. 2) There is a positive correlation of the three variables, including Test-taking motivation & cognitive value, cognitive value & involvement, and test-taking motivation & involvement. 3) Test-taking motivation & cognitive value has a positive effect on involvement. Finally, the results of this study are provided to related units for the enhancement and improvement of mechanism and construction.
