Summary: | 碩士 === 國立澎湖科技大學 === 電資研究所 === 103 === This thesis presents the designs of plane phone antenna and filtenna for Long-Term Evolution (Long-Term Evolution, LTE) applications, which frequency bands covering LTE700 (703 ~ 803 MHz), LTE900 (880 ~ 960 MHz) and LTE1800 (1710 ~ 1880 MHz ) bands.
The first antenna is designed with the input reflection coefficient (S11) as -6dB level. This antenna is synthesized with multi-branched monopole antennas fed a microstrip line to satisfy the desired LTE bands. In addition, each band and bandwidth could be designed individually by adjusting these monopole antennas and achieved a high degree of frequency selection. Meanwhile, the antenna size is only 50x15 mm2.
To suppress the undesired high harmonic frequency band of the first antenna, a filtenna is designed by adding a 1/4 wavelength open stub into the fed microstrip line, which suppressing the undesired harmonic frequency mode and achieving a filtering result. Finally, the antenna is implemented and measured to verify the feasibility of this antenna design approach.
