Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄師範大學 === 諮商心理與復健諮商研究所 === 103 === This study adopted a dyadic analysis approach to explore the relation of family-of-origin communication stances, marital communication stances, and marital adjustment strategy to marital satisfaction among the married couples. There were 248 married couples, aged between 27 and 70, mainly from Kaohsiung in the survey pool. The years of their marriage ranged from 1 month to 42 years. They completed Relationship Assessment scale, Satir Interpersonal Communication scale, and Marital Adjustment Strategy scale in this study. The research used descriptive statistics, chi-square, paired t-test, and one-way ANOVA to analyze the data. The major findings are as follows: 1. The majority of couples used congruent stances (23.2%), whereas 17.3% of the couples used super-reasonable stances in family of origin. 2. The majority of couples used congruent stances (27.8%), whereas 16.3% of the couples used super-reasonable stances in marriage. 3. The majority of couples used extrapersonal- positive strategies (27.2%), whereas 22.8% of the couples used extrapersonal- negative strategies when faced with marital adjustment problems. 4. More than 90% couples had middle to high level of marital satisfaction. 5. There was a significant correlation between family-of-origin communication stances and marital communication stances. 6. There was a significant correlation between family-of-origin communication stances and marital adjustment strategy. 7. There was a significant correlation between marital communication stances and marital adjustment strategy. 8. There were significant differences in marital satisfaction among the couples’ different marital communication stances. 9. There were significant differences in marital satisfaction among the couples’ different marital adjustment strategies. According to the results, the researcher offers some suggestions to marital educators, counselors, and further research.
