The answer for this question was varied in different periods of time and cultures. According to Aristotle’s recapitulation, the ancient Greek philosophers advocated that the (Gk.) arche of everything is either one (e.g. element of water, air, fire, earth, aither; or atoms, seeds, number, idea etc.) or many (e.g. four elements and Eros or strike; seeds and nous; atoms and void etc.). In this dissertation action and interaction are proposed as the arche of scientific thought, and the phenomenon-hermeneutic method has been applied to explore the deep connections among Aristotle’s <<Gk. ta physika >>, modern mechanism, reductionism and systematism. The main contributions are the following (1) formalized the phenomenon-hermeneutic method as a hermeneutic circle (Chap. One, table 1-2); (2) applied this method to accomplish the hermeneutic organization and interpretation of inter-action, which show the main characters of mechanism(Chap. II and III), and the deep connection between mechanism and Aristotle’s <<Gk. ta physica>>(Chap. IV). (3) Applied this method to accomplish the hermeneutic reconstructed the Anaximander’s cosmology (Chap. V); (4) Applied this method to accomplish the hermeneutic organization and interpretation of “scientific method, scientific knowledge, truth, theme, and system” (core categories of systematism), and reveal their potential application in the education of creativity (Chap. IV); (5) Applied this method to accomplish and have published two SCI journal’s papers in the area of WiFi communication (Chap. VII). Tsai-Ku Lin Chih-Yu Huang 林財庫 黃智裕 2015 學位論文 ; thesis 179 zh-TW
