This study also examined the variations of the environmental knowledge, attitude and behavior of students with different characteristics(including graders, majors, residence, socio-economic status of students’ parents, and students’ participation in environment-related activities). In addition, this study investigates the correlation among the relevant environmental knowledge, attitude and behavior. The thesis aims to investigate 346 military high school students at Chung Cheng Armed Forces Preparatory School by using statistical approaches such as descriptive statistics, t-test, One-Way Analysis of Variance, Pearson product-moment correlation and Path Analysis. The results indicated that military high school students’ major information sources came from the internet, television programs, and teachers. In terms of environmental education knowledge, students’ knowledge is above intermediate level, and performed better in the knowledge of general environmental knowledge but got lower grades in the knowledge of environmental knowledge problem. There are significant differences in students of different graders and majors. Besides, there are significant differences in environmental action strategies knowledge of students whose parents have different socio-economic status. There are no significant differences of the environmental knowledge between residence , students’ participation in environment-related activities and socio-economic status of students’ parents. With the aspect of environmental attitude, the students’ attitudes are positive, and performed better in the ecological conservation attitude but got lower grades in the attitude of environmental issues. The students of different graders have significant differences. Additionally, students of different majors have significant differences in environmental pollution attitude, and there are differences in ecological conservation attitude. There are no significant differences of the environmental attitude between residence, students’ participation in environment-related activities and socio-economic status of students’ parents, and there majors. Regarding the environmental behavior, students’ behaviors are positive, and performed better in the behavior of consumer action and got lower grades in the behavior of education a ction. Participation of environmental activities by different graders demonstrated significant difference. There are no significant differences of the environmental behavior between residence, socio-economic status of students’ parents and majors. There is no significantly positive correlation exists between environmental knowledge and environmental attitude. But in scientific knowledge of the natural environment and resources attitude, positive correlation were low level. There is a moderate significantly positive correlation between the environmental attitude and environmental behavior. No significantly positive correlation between environmental knowledge and environmental behavior. But in scientific knowledge of the natural environment and legal action level there was low negative correlation. In addition, there is no significance that students’ environmental knowledge can predict to environmental behavior. However, it is significant that students’ environmental attitudes can predict to environmental behavior. As for factors predictive of environmental behavior, the highest performing factor were environmental sustainability attitude and attitude towards environmental skill. This study will serve as reference for military institutes in the area of environmental education.
