Collaborating demand of personal fabrication shop is a must, yet difficult. Nowadays the technologies of digital equipments and software are able to form a creative collaborative platform. How to provide manufacturing knowledge promptly and share digital equipments for creative makes efficiently is the core of the collaborative fabrication shop. In this study, the Google Form Tool was adopted to create an online questionnaire survey to explore the desired technical knowledge and facility for makers through Internet. It also employed Dreamweaver, HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language) and PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor) web languages to develop an interactive digital educating platform for digital fabrication equipments. We also developed a cloud computing based estimating system for 3D printing machine by using GUI (Graphic User Interface) technique. The result shows that the cloud-based collaborative fabrication laboratory for individual makers was developed successfully by integrating equipments with the technologies of cloud computing, mobile device, and digital manufacturing equipments. The proposed cloud-based collaborative fabrication platform is also served as a modern manufacturing knowledge broadcasting platform through network. The present cloud computing based estimating system for 3D printing machine is able to estimate the tooling time quickly through the mobile devices. The study completed coherent collaborative process. It promotes the function of the individual manufacturing and achieves the concept of mass production.
