Therefore, locking pawl in use can not have broken of the situations, There must be strength requirements, otherwise it will be dangerous. Locking pawl in the manufacturing process can be cast, pressure casting, powder metallurgy, machining, cold forging progressive die and warm forging the way of manufacturing. The first three products manufactured quality to be used in the security of the occasion, there are doubts about the strength and security. Thus, only the latter three process to ensure that the parts in the use of security. If all the way to the machining manufacturing, machining should be spent on more working hours, resulting in the production costs are still high. Therefore,the project of this research is the locking pawl. developing with cold forging progressive die and warm forging manufacturing process method, by metal forming simulation software DEFORM-3D, simulation cold forging and warm forging. Finally, according to the simulation results, development and test mold, test out the better of the process parameters. The results show that the study of cold forging progressive die and warm forging process after the test, forming conditions and simulated match, but forging load with DEFORM-3D simulation software simulation error of about 60 ~ 90ton. After cold forging progressive die process test, forging load of preformed forging and complete forging is a total of about 400ton. Mold test only three times, the mold is damaged. Mold life is short. Therefore, cold forging progressive die process parameters is infeasible. Warm forging process in forging temperature of 800 ℃, forgings characteristics can be fully formed, the surface without defects, forging load of about 160ton. Blanking of higher temperature ,blanking plane will be more smooth. Blanking temperature of about room temperature ~ 400 ℃, blanking surface is easy to produce tearing. Blanking of temperature at 600 ℃, blanking surface is smooth. This study warm forging process in forging temperature at 800 ℃, blanking temperature at 600 ℃, is the ideal process conditions.
