碩士 === 國立高雄第一科技大學 === 會計資訊研究所 === 103 === Domestic large-scale enterprises currently raise money from the public and financial institutions for the application so that the corporate conditions of operation are tightly connected with social trends. Once such enterprises face the financial distress, not only the enterprise itself, the internal authority, and the employees but also the investors, creditors, financial institutions, up-and-down-stream vendors, and consumers are affected to result in social instability. Effectively predicting the bad management of an enterprise to prevent it from financial crises has become a critical issue in the research on corporate financial management. This study aims to predict corporate financial crises with a letter to shareholders so as to effectively enhance the accuracy of corporate financial crisis detection and further reduce the capital damage resulted from financial crises to the enterprises and the investors. Aiming at such objectives, this study covers the research on (i)the design of corporate financial crisis prediction procedure using letter to shareholders, (ii)the development of corporate financial crisis prediction methods using letter to shareholders, and (iii)the verification and comparison of corporate financial crisis prediction methods using letter to shareholders.
