Therefore, it is important to adopt a proactive and innovative business model that allows companies to adjust their strategies in a dynamic environment. This study adopts the framework of service design to develop an innovative business model by using the concept of Internet of Things (IoT), thus developing the 4C (Co-value, Co-creation, Co-service, Co- business) model that intends to help companies recognize the inefficiencies in its business process. This study uses the 4C model to investigate 18 IoT-related cases with three selection criteria: (1) IoT, (2) ICT (Information and Communication Technologies, ICTs), and (3) case studies. Initially, this study obtains 71 case studies. Then after applying the above three selection criteria, it investigates 18 cases based on the 4C model. This study also uses focus group interview method to verify its face factor reliability and validity. The methods and results are recognized by experts and scholars. This study develops the 4C model based on the concept of service design, mainly hoping to develop an innovative business model in a scientific way. IoT is an ideal case for this research. The results show that the commonality in the 4C model can be applied to network and IoT industries. Overall, this study suggests that the 4C model can be applied in various industries, as service design is a user-centered approach that can provide users in various industries. From this study’s findings, the 4C model could provide enterprises with a more user- centered innovative business model. Tung-Hsiang Chou 周棟祥 2015 學位論文 ; thesis 141 zh-TW |
