And in the pursuit of competitive advantage, the information technology is the most powerful supported. Thus, adoption of the best e-business strategy and match of appropriate information technology capabilities become a key indicator of the sustainable competitive advantage. An alignment model is then developed to demonstrate their performance implications on business competitive advantages. According to this e-Business-IT alignment model, we hope it not only provide more definitive answers about the nature of e-Business with a alignment perspective than the previous research did, but also provide a guiding management practices in the strategic IT/IS management field. Accordingly, this study empirically examines the competitive advantages of aligning an e-Business strategy with IT capabilities. Empirical data for our research are collected from top 1350 manufacturing companies in Taiwanm yielding 107 vaild samples. The results showed that all of the three hypotheses of strategic alignment had significant impact on the competitive advantages. This research suggested that an e-Business needs to focus on strategy and match there technology capabilities, through complementary resourecs to create the maximum competitive advantages.
