The main instrument for conducting this research was a questionnaire, and the main subjects recruited in this survey were all hospitality high school teachers in southern Taiwan. Totally, the data were collected from 346 valid questionnaires. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson product-moment correlation, and multiple regression analysis. The research findings are as follows: First , hospitality high school teachers in southern Taiwan scored above average in the holistic needs for professional growth. The highest score was shown in “professional knowledge and ability,” and the lowest score in “professional attitude and practice.” Second, the teachers scored above average in “influencing factors of professional growth.” The highest score was found in “school climate and culture,” and the lowest score in “educational policies and systems.” Third, teachers’ professional growth needs were affected significantly by the background factors such as “age” and “length of teaching service.” Fourth, the results of “influencing factors of professional growth” were affected significantly by the background factors such as “age,” “length of teaching service,” “teacher certification ,” and “types of schools.” Fifth, there were positive correlations between teachers’ professional growth and the influencing factors. Sixth, teachers’ needs for professional growth could be forecast accurately, based on the statistical analysis of the influencing factors of professional growth. “Teachers’ inner motive” holds the most practical value in the prediction of it. Finally, according to the research findings, the suggestions were offered to people working in administrative institutes for education, middle schools with department groups of hospitality and tourism, and teachers and researchers doing follow-up research.
