The typhoon incursions in the past years caused the roadbed damages like as layer slips in some parts of the route, and affected the traffic to Taipingshan National Forest Recreation Area. To ensure the safe driving of visitors on Yi-Lan Special Highway Route One, since 2008, it was proceed by Luodong Forest District Office of Forestry Bureau to do drilling investigation and monitoring measures along Yi-Lan Special Highway Route One. According to the outcome of above surveys, the control projects were carried out by stages and years. The road section in 20K+100 which is a U-trun road often sinks, and its range side also slips already. It is dangerous to pass through the route securely. In order to find out the factors of layer slipping, clear the sliding mechanism and scale, and choose the proper method to prevent the expansion of damages, the research, reference to the environment, road alignment, terrain, meteorology, hydrology and damage history, is focused on the road section in 2K+100 to discuss the factors which affect the slop stability and layer slip, to clear the sliding mechanism and scale, and to offer the proper way to rebuild the route. The research also consults the common methods of rebuild range sides in domestic area, and to propose the workable construction suggestions of the road section.
