Summary: | 碩士 === 桃園創新技術學院 === 應用科技研究所 === 103 === In this study, attapulgite/polyacrylonitrile(PAN) blended hollow fiber membranes were spun via wet spinning process by adding three kinds of attapulgite, such as original attapulgite, purified attapulgite and heat-treated attapulgite in the dope respectively to investigate the effect of attapulgite addition on the properties and pervaporation performances of hollow fiber membranes. Scanning Electron Microscopy(SEM), Thermogravimetric Analyzer(TGA) ,Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy(FT-IR), Atomic Force Microscopy(AFM) and contact angle meter were used to analysis the Physical and chemical properties of attapulgite/PAN blended hollow fiber membranes. The results have shown that the contact angle, thermal properties as well as mechanical properties were increased with increasing attapulgite content. The pervaporation performances of 90 wt.% aqueous isopropanol solution at 25 OC through attapulgite/PAN blended hollow fiber membranes revealed that the permeation flux was decreased by adding attapulgite in the dope. The heat treatment as well as pervaporation operation condition on the pervaporation performances of attapulgite/PAN blended hollow fiber membranes were also investigated in this study. The results have shown that the heat-treatment conditions of temperature and time for the optimal pervaporation performance were 120 OC and 3 hours, respectively. The water content in permeate was over 99 wt.%.
