Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立新竹教育大學 === 藝術教育與創作碩士班 === 103 === The scope of this paper covers my “Wilting Leaves” series in 2000, goes through the “Red Threads” series later, and to the latest “Planting” in 2015. Its purpose is to explore the relations between Mother Earth and my art. Chapter One “Introduction” delineates the backgrounds, motives of my creation, goals, methodology, scope and limitations of this study. Chapter Two “Context of Creation” discusses how my creation is influenced by realism, romanticism and École de Barbizon. Realism is like “needle threading” that leads me to creation, and romanticism is comparable to the thread reel providing inexhaustible humanistic thoughts. École de Barbizon bridges the romanticism and realism in my art. In the third chapter “Concepts, Forms and Techniques” I talk about artists and art schools that my art relates regarding concepts, forms and techniques. The first sub-chapter “Concepts of Creation” describes how I found themes in nature that echo my thoughts and how I generate energy for creation through having conversations with myself in loneliness. The second sub-chapter “Forms of Creation” I look into my unique approach of creating through studying artists whose art forms I regard and make them as the foundation of my art concepts and forms. The third sub-chapter “Techniques of Creation” I analyze how I start and develop my techniques in my painting. Chapter Four “Artworks Analysis” I discuss how my three series “Wilting Leaves”, “Red Threads” in 2000 and “Planting” in 2015 were initiated and proceeded. In Chapter Five “Conclusion” I clarify the subject in the context of my creation and expect that in my future work I will be able to fuse time in “Planting” series, namely, make “time” become one of my art forms.
