The study compared the visible behavior of a female senior high school principal in school domain to text analysis and discussion, in order to see how this principal used her leadership to transform the application of Goffman's impression management under this frame.
This research is based on case study, after conducting interviews, participant observation and data collection; the researchers collate data and then start to analyze. Start from the context, this analysis was based on literature theory and unanswered questions as a sequence of research. Under the frame, researchers summarized three dimensions and twenty one reviews, which focus on providing course of answers to those unanswered questions and the conclusion for this research.
1. High school principal led the impression management performance on the educational stage by the core idea of "people" from the beginning to the end.
2. The application of impression management can reinforce the results of principal 's leadership, and it was easy for principal to examines suitability of her conduct.
3. The impression management led principal, and vice versa.
4. The leadership of impression management of principal should go back to a psychological level, retaining people to face themselves and their hearts.
To continue the course of those answers, with the analyses and reviews of the researchers, the researchers gradually concluded integration of differences and cross-domain reviews. Researchers connected those reviews to text reading reflections to echo the impression management of Goffman, keeping them close to the impression management and text discussion to show the growth of this step-by-step process, with school principal as its center. Afterwards, they finalized 14 suggestions to the leadership of principal, constructing a multi-dimension but unified image of leadership of principal from a dramaturgy point of view. Besides, due to the limited f frame use of case study, to strengthen their study, researchers combined the conclusion with the four theories to continue using object, methods, practice and context, four dimensions , to give suggestions on respective field. From the conclusions and suggestions of this case study, the principals or future to-be principal not only can take the evaluation-oriented frame as a reference, and combining the transformed application of impression management on the psychological level to improve themselves.
