The previous research indicated that Chinese characters played the important role as the expressing mediums during the counseling process. Therefore the present research have developed the group-counseling program for college students with “Chinese Words Projective Technique”and examined the effect and effectiveness of it.   The present research conducted quasi-experimental designs, with the author leading the group-counseling program. Participants were nine college students. After group, “Life scale for College Students” was conducted to assess the effectiveness of group member’s life adjustment. Data from semi-structured interviews were used to analyze the improvement of group members. The results suggested that the ability of life adjustment failed to be statistically significant. However group members reported that their tension was released and they were empowered to face the difficult living conditions, experienced good social interaction, affirmed self-capacity, and increased self-confidence. Data elicited from group counseling notes, interviews with the research members, reflexive journal, and leader’s recollection of group are analyzed to explore the process of transformation regarding the college students in counseling group with applying “Chinese Words Projective Technique". The result indicated that group members have improved self-awareness, self-concept, emotion, cognition and social intercourse after the counseling group. Furthermore the researcher will modify the group program according to interview record, feedback from the research members, and the researcher’s reflexive journal.
