First, the status of college students’ RCSE was explored. Secondly, analysis RCSE, of college student from different backgrounds was compared. Third, correlation among the Breakup times, period of relationship, love satisfaction and RCSE was discussed. This study adopted purposive sampling. The subjects sampling from students of the private college in Hsinchu with questionnaire survey research, collecting total 500 samples, and 480 among the recycled samples were valid. The instrument applied “College Students’ Relationship Contingent Self-Esteem Scale” have been collected and analyzed by descriptive statistics, mean, standard deviation, factor analysis, reliability analysis, analysis of variance (ANOVA), one-way multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA), Bonferroni method and Pearson Product-Moment Correlation Coefficient. The conclusions of this research are as follows: 1. The status of college students' overall RCSE with self-evaluation, relationship schemata, and relationship evaluation were above the average. 2. Self-evaluation and relationship schemata of female students were higher than the male. 3. Overall RCSE of sophomore and Junior were higher than fourth grade. Self-evaluation of freshman and sophomore were higher than fourth grade. Relationship schemata of sophomore were higher than fourth grade. 4. The students whom from different departments and different dating periods at overall RCSE, self-evaluation, relationship schemata, and relationship evaluation were above the average and no difference. 5. The students whom never breakup and breakup 1 time was higher than 2, 3 times at overall RCSE. 6. Breakup time had negative correlated with overall RCSE and self-evaluation. 7. Dating period had negative correlated with relationship evaluation. 8. Love satisfaction had negative correlated with self-evaluation.
