Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立新竹教育大學 === 幼兒教育學系幼兒園教師碩士在職專班 === 103 === This action research detailed in this master's thesis explores the use of creative drama teaching and learning strategies when working with young children with special needs in kindergarten. As part of the research, I observed, recorded and evaluated children’s response and development. The findings show the child with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) has greater levels of concentration when taking part in drama activities; the child with lower limb disabilities becomes very involved in role-play and is able to play strong characters; and the child with autism becomes creative and expressive when he follow another. I conclude that: 1.Young children’s life experiences are an important resource for creative drama; 2.Psychological enrichment overcomes the physical limitation; 3.Peer interaction facilitates the motivation when role-playing; 4. Use of drama fosters children’s interests in the topic, and their interest continues afterwards. The research also provides the recommendations for those involved in pre-school education for those with special needs, and the broader application of creative drama in special needs education.
