碩士 === 國立新竹教育大學 === 中國語文學系碩士班 === 103 === Puppet show is one of the Taiwan’s traditional industries. Nowadays, Pili Multimedia incorporation is the biggest. Roles in Pili are very diverse, and this paper will focus on roles of military counselors. My research targets are villain military counselor, Ssu Wu Chun, and decent military counselor, Wo Chiang Tzu. The discussion about how Pili describes in these two kinds of roles, the wise military counselors, and their elegant appearances and influence. In addition, because of series of puppet show are still publishing, the scripts are kept written. As a result, the stories and roles are not consistent, and minor roles are more than major roles. Therefore, the writer discusses the importance and effect of military counselors by studying the image of military counselors, in order to deepen to the spirit of the puppet shows. Firstly, this paper will introduce the puppet show’s heritage of Pili, and military counselors’ position and effect. Secondly, the study about decent and villain military counselors’ images, the consistency of the story, study of roles, characteristics of military counselors. Last but not least, make a summary, compare roles’ diversity, and prove the importance of military counselors in the story.
