Using a multi-wave, multi-source research design, survey data were recruited from 174 employees from 44 work units in a variety of organizations in Taiwan. The results found that subordinates’ SDO moderated the positive relationship between RLMX and contempt; contempt was positively related to ostracizing other members. Finally, the interactive effect of RLMX and SDO on ostracizing others was mediated by the emotion of contempt (mediated moderation model).
