This phenomenon is named as trip-chain travel behavior. This research focuses on multi-user classes trip-chain based traffic assignment problem and adopts variational inequality to develop the model. The diagonalization method, gradient projection method and dynamic programming method are employed to develop the solution algorithm. We also apply the Utown test network to build the numerical test examples. The results of this research can be expected contributing in theory development of transportation planning. Our model also can be applied to predicting the travel demand in practice studies. Chung-Yung Wang 王中允 2014 學位論文 ; thesis 63 zh-TW
