Most broadcasting stations are shifting from the traditional management method to a more cost-effective one, especially regarding to maintenance. From the viewpoint of technicians, it’s very difficult to have both higher effectiveness and lower cost. In the past, this Station used the experience and method of Time-based Maintenance to decide the cycle of maintenance, but it becomes very difficult now. Therefore, Station need a Condition Based Maintenance, which allows for the implementation of the strategy in which human resources are part of the reality. In this research, we use the FMEA and QFD theory to diagnose the failure mode of original system designs and manufacturing processes. This theoretical approach takes into consideration, on the one side, the needs and demands of the customers, and based on these needs and demands, it analyzes the failure mode, then make the priority list to get the solution for creating the software to manage expect point of failure and monitor entire broadcast transmission environment. From the viewpoint of Broadcast Maintenance Engineer, applying the failure mode and effects analysis may help handling the usual problems of broadcast transmission environment and finding the root causes of failure. Based on this, the frequency of failure, risks and the detection rate can be discussed with maintenance consultants to build the Risk Priority Number (RPN), then using Quality Function Deployment the necessary analysis are performed in order to find the related problems of broadcast maintenance.
