The Maintenance technicians always work under exposure to environmental noise. It will damage technicians’ hearing and impact on their physical, mental and quality of life as well. Purpose: This study investigates the risk factors which make the maintenance technicians’ hearing loss and impact of quality of life. Furthermore, it explores the interrelation between recognize hearing and hearing loss. Material and methods: This study is cross-sectional study. The main object of study are the Air Force base maintenance technicians. It structures questionnaire SF-36, NIDCD demographic information such as Scale, recognize hearing test and health conscious quality of life survey. This study uses pure audiometry hearing tester in an anechoic chamber to implement hearing test. Hearing test collects 265 valid samples. The samples will be determined to noise-induced hearing loss, if their ears’ 4K or 6K recess hearing threshold are greater than or equal to 25dB. Results: Analysis shows that maintenance technicians’ noise type of hearing loss incidence is 18.5%. The risk factors are service seniority, auditory injury history and body mass index (BMI). The hearing loss’s quality of life are less (SF 36). The risk factors of impact to maintenance technician healthy quality of life in physical health facet (PCS) for the education level is beta = 3.606; p <0.05. The consciously have hearing loss is beta = -3.119; p <0.05. The impaired mental health facet (MCS) for conscious hearing is beta = -4.266; p <0.05. The whether in daily life situations are hard of hearing is beta = 6.284; p <0.05. In the recognize part of the actual scale hearing test hearing loss than those without hearing it consciously hearing loss ratio is high. Conclusion: The Study found that risk factors of hearing loss for maintenance technician can be adopted a reference for hearing protection plans and related policy development in the future. The recognize hearing test can be an effective screening scale noise-induced hearing loss in high-risk groups. It can be used in primary prevention and health care work in order to maintain combat power. Su, Sui-Lung 蘇遂龍 2015 學位論文 ; thesis 83 zh-TW
