Many studies indicate that the introduction of low-cost carriers would offer a significant boost to the traffic at Hualien Airport. However, whether such a policy would really work and whether such a policy would really help the economy of Hualien region requires further investigation.
This paper will hold discussions on whether low-cost carriers have an impact on Hualien Airport and the economy in Hualien region.
