Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立東華大學 === 自然資源與環境學系 === 103 === Petroleum products are one of the important energy in the world, but it can release to the environment inevitably in storage and transportation process. It is difficult to identify the unknown oils when it under the severely weathering effect, because they will change the components. Biomarkers are ubiquitous hydrocarbons that occur in crude oils and petroleum products. Because of their inherent specificity and resistance to weathering, biomarkers have proven particularly useful in chemical fingerprinting of petroleum contamination in the environment. In this study, biomarker including diamondoids, bicyclic sesquiterpanes, hopanes and steranes in petroleum products were survey by using GC-MS (Gas Chromatograph-Mass Spectrometer). From the results of the study found that distillate oil have abundance of low boiling biomarkers, and hopanes and steranes will concentrate on residual oil. Adamantanes can be detected in low quantities in gasoline and diesel, and that bicyclic sesquiterpanes have more high concentration in diesel. Bicyclic sesquiterpanes were determined in oils with principal dominance of BS3, BS5 and BS10, and these concentration over 50% of 10 bicyclic sesquiterpanes, but they were generally not detected or in trace level. Seventeen adamantanes in gasoline, compounds A, MA, DMA were more predominant than others. Sediment in Chenggong port were determined and it had more high level of bicyclic sesquiterpanes, and maybe it related to intensive local fisheries activities. Applying diagnostic ratios of bicyclic sesquiterpanes, the ratios BS5/(BS3 to 6) and BS10/(BS7 to BS10) can distinguish between many type of diesel, they also can identify the oil source in soil sample. This method can be using in unknown oil spill case to find out the contamination in the future.
