Summary:博士 === 國立東華大學 === 課程設計與潛能開發學系 === 103 === This is an ethnographic research describing and observing the female college students’ gender situation from within the family to the outside kitchen as being a household cook to become a professional chef. This study aims to understand the phenomenon rather than inference results. Therefore, the purpose of this study are threefold: First, the possible impact to the female students from the mentoring relationship in the specialized learning process of campus and workplace. Second, examining gender-based division of labor and gender roles of female students’ self-shaping in the kitchen of gender segregation. Third, he female students may carry out their own agency to survive. The results found that: (1) three types of female chef’s image, (2) the performance of female students’ agency, (3) gender awareness is weak in the kitchen, (4) model provides multiple possibilities, (5) discover the alternative advantages of female chef.
