Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立東華大學 === 材料科學與工程學系 === 103 === Magnesium alloys have lately attracted considerable attention on the application of aerospace industry due to their high specific strength and good damping capacity. However, the ambient strength of magnesium alloys is still lower than that of commercial aluminum alloys. Besides, the suitable method of corrosion resistance of the magnesium alloys is under developed. The purpose of this research is to develop the high strength ultra-light magnesium alloys for using in the aerospace and vehicle industries. For the application of sheet parts, the precipitation hardening magnesium alloys with good low temperature formability are investigated. The Mg-Li-Zn alloys with the density below 1.5g/cm3 are produced. The fourth elements, for instance Y will be added in the alloys in order to improve the mechanical properties. The mechanical strengths will be increased by using the aging treatment. The crystal structure of the precipitates and precipitation mechanism will be discussed. Furthermore, we identify the most appropriate proportion of Y element added in the alloys so as to facilitate the development of alloys.
