This study aimed at analyzing the current status of family education implemented by schools, and constructing an appropriate family education implementing model. It is expected that the result can be used as reference for schools in conducting family education, so as to advance the effectiveness of implementation.
Four schools were interviewed to collect the information about the implementation of family education. six practitioners were invited to evaluate and construct a preliminary family education implementing model based on the information collected. The constructed model was reviewed by 815 subjects using a self-constructed questionnaire.
The findings of this study are as follows: 1) Family education is implemented variously among schools; 2) Family education is not fully fulfilled in schools; 3) A family education implementing model consisted of 6 components is constructed; 4) The constructed model is highly recognized by school principals, administrators, and teachers. Finally, some recommendations based on findings are provided.
