Summary: | 碩士 === 國立嘉義大學 === 體育與健康休閒學系研究所 === 103 === The purpose of the research was to probe into the analysis of the differences in physical fitness performances of the elementary school students of the different backgrounds’ variations. Probing into the current status of the 3rd to 6th graders in an elementary school in Jhongpu township, Chiayi County , the subjects were sampled by using convenience sampling in this study and the valid samples were 157 copies which compared to the norm of Ministry of Education and were divided into one to five grades of the percentile rank, then using SPSS19 statistical software for analyses One Way ANOVA was used to analyze the students with different family backgrounds ,which were general students, aboriginal students, new immigrant students, and physical fitness grades; Independent-Samples T Test was used to analyze the students with different family backgrounds which were non-single-parent students and single-parent students and physical fitness performances . Furthermore, aiming at the connections between the students with different family backgrounds and the performances of the samples’ physical fitness, the homeroom teachers and the instructors were interviewed and investigated .The results were :( 1 )The performances on sit and reach, sit-ups and stand jumping were up to 60 to 70 % of the standard norm which were better than the performances of the national percentile rank, and the performances on cardiovascular fitness were up to 54.1 % of the standard norm which was equivalent to the national average level. ( 2 ) The performances on body compositions and sit and reach among general students, aboriginal students and new immigrant students had no significant differences , and there was a significant difference in stand jumping which the general students and aboriginal students performed better than the new immigrant students, and on the items of sit up and cardiovascular fitness were significant , the aboriginal students were better than general students. There was no big difference between non-single-parent students and single-parent students, but non-single-parent students had a better performance than single-parent students on sit-ups item and was significant. Conclusion fitness for Indigenous children generally better than general health and new immigrant children.
