Ten blood samples were collected from pigs of ages of 4, 8 and 12 weeks old respectively from each farm and examined by ELISA commercial kits for those three diseases. The results showed that the vaccine types and vaccination percentages of PRRS and PCV2 vaccines varied among the farms. Further, higher vaccination percentage was found for CSF vaccination, but the protection rate for the 12 week-old pigs was less than 80%. This means that timing of CSF vaccination needs further adjustment. So that the following research focused on the timing of CSF vaccination in piglets born from sows vaccinated with CSF E2 subunit vaccine. Forty pregnant sows were used and divided into four groups, A, B, C and D, with 10 sows in each groups. The sows in A and C groups were injected with one dose of E2 subunit and LPC vaccine respectively at 5 weeks before farrowing, and those in B group received two doses with E2 subunit vaccine at 5 and 3 weeks respectively before farrowing. The sows in D group acted as control. Twenty piglets born from those sows of each group were randomly selected for blood sampling at ages of 3, 6, 9, 12, 16 and 19 weeks old. All piglet were also received a dose of LPC vaccine at age of 13 weeks old. The results indicated that there was no significant difference in CSF antibody performance between piglets born from group A and C sows, and protective time for those piglets could reach to 9 weeks old and protective rate more than 90% at 19 weeks old.
