Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立嘉義大學 === 應用化學系研究所 === 103 === We provide a new strategy to synthesize polycarbonates and polyureas by polymerizing carbonyldiimidazole with aliphatic diols, and diamines using microwave irradiation. The structures of these polymers were identified by NMR and IR spectroscopy. The molecular weight of polymer can be traced by GPC with PDI 1.28 to 1.79. Using TGA, we can find out the degradation temperatures to know the thermostability of these polymers (PC:180-290℃,PU:213-361℃). By DSC, we can identify the glass transition temperature and melting temperature. Finally, we used XRD to distinguish crystalline polymer (PBC、PHC、PNPC、poly(ether-carbonate)、PEUs) and non-crystalline polymer (PCHDMC、BPU、HPU、OPU、PECUU). Comparing the synthesis with literatures, the microwave assisted polymerization method is easier and faster than the traditional heating method, and can be applied to both aliphatic and aromatic monomers. The activation energy of poly(butylene carbonate) polymerization by microwave irradiation is estimated to be 121.4 kJ/mol and the polymer degradation experiment of PBC was carried out under pH=2 aqueous condition.
