Here using phenomenology as research methodology and semi-structured interview strategy, verbatim transcribing the participants’ elaboration about what they are confront with, and inducing meaningful topics to explain college student suicide prevention affairs. There are seven research subjects in this paper, including “Suicide prevention - Tertiary prevention is indispensable”, “Case handling strategy- Counselors are willing to accompany students getting through the difficult times, and reducing the probability of suicide”, “About work-Cooperating with the other departments could lighten counselors’ workload”, “Cross-department experience- The efforts of relevant departments administer to achieve the destination of suicide prevention”, “Hardships and challenges- The life is too uncertain to handle it”, “Self-examination on suicide prevention work- Counselors do their best to accomplish the challenging mission” and “Related suggestions- It is important to pass the experience of suicide prevention down and cooperate with the other departments, reinforcing counselors’ professional competences”. According to the aforementioned result, inducing suggestion about further relevant study about decreasing student suicide rate, and hopefully this paper would be beneficial to future studies.
