Summary: | 碩士 === 國立嘉義大學 === 教育行政與政策發展研究所 === 103 === The main purpose of the study was to explore the relationship between the principals’ instructional leadership and the Remedial Teaching Program in elementary schools in Chiayi County of Taiwan, meanwhile to analyze the differences of teachers to examine the correlation between variables. The result of the study can provide suggestions and references to educational administration organizations, the principals, the elementary school teachers and the following related researchers.
The research method of this thesis was survey method. The samples of this research were elementary school teachers in Chiayi County. This research surveyed 500 samples and collected 469 valid questionnaires; the response rate of questionnaires was 93.8﹪. The statistical methods of this research include descriptive analysis, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation, and multiple stepwise regression analysis. The findings of this research were:
1.The elementary school teachers in Chiayi County perceived rating of principals’ instructional leadership were middle-upper level, and have best feeling about the “Developing student learning climate program”.
2.The elementary school teachers in Chiayi County perceived rating of the Remedial Teaching Program were middle-upper level, and have best feeling about the “Teaching counseling ”.
3.In Chiayi County, there were significant differences among the teachers’ gender, age, serving years, job position, and school size in the teachers’ awareness about the principals’ instructional leadership.
4.In Chiayi County, there were significant differences among the teachers’ gender, age, serving years, job position, and school size in the teachers’ awareness about the Remedial Teaching Program.
5.The Pearson correlation between principals’ instructional leadership, and the Remedial Teaching Program ranged for middle positive correlation.
6.In Chiayi County, principals’ instructional leadership was able to forecast the Remedial Teaching Program, and have best forecast about “ Keeping the quality of curriculum and teaching”.
