The methodology applied in this study is through questionnaires, and the samples are derived from 456 students in senior high and vocational schools that are promoting peer counseling programs. Statistical analysis is based on the questionnaires concerning the respondents’ scores of the peer counseling experience , of “School Adjustment Scale”, and the 20-item brief version of the “Chinese Happiness Inventory”. The results of the research are as follows: 1. The pairing of peer counseling in senior high and vocational school is mostly one-on-one. 2. The time spent on the interaction between peer counselors and clients in a week is mostly within an hour. 3. For peer clients, the first three most important issues include academic, career and Self-exploration issues. 4. Senior high and vocational school that are promoting peer counseling programs students’ school adjustment and sense of happiness tended to be above the average. 5. With peer client experience, senior high and vocational school students show statistically significant difference from those without peer client experience on students’ school adjustment and sense of happiness. 6.The results indicated that either gender or grade did not have significant difference on peer clients’ school adjustment and sense of happiness. 7.The associations among factors in Peer clients’ school adjustment and sense of happiness were significantly positive related. 8. Peer clients’ school adjustment could predict sense of happiness. Implications of these results are discussed and suggestions for school counseling practice and future research are also given. 林清文博士 學位論文 ; thesis 128 zh-TW
