A qualitative research method was conducted through coaching, reflection, and correction to form the action research cycle process, contributing to developing an adequate coaching model to working with individuals with individuals with chronic mental illness in community. Major findings were presented in the following: First, a coaching model protocol was developed and followed, to explore the current situation and the possibility of action-oriented learning and summarize other steps. Second, major difficulties researcher may encounter including: 1. Coach was expected to deal with topics for the individuals; 2. It’s time-consuming to clarify real topics; 3. Setting clear objectives is difficult; 4. During the coaching process, the individuals often strayed from the main topics; 5. Questions often needed further clarification and modifications; 6. Exploring behaviors affected by symptoms was needed; 7. Answers often provided limited information; 8. To set up a specific action plan is difficult; 9. Often didn’t produce the desired results due to changing action plan content or action by the individulas. The coping strategies adopted by researchers include: non-verbal responses, using a timer, suspended the conversation, slow down the conversation and a variety of communication skills. Finally, suggestions for community mental rehabilitation practitioners on development of a wellness coach model and research were proposed to provide reference for teachers and future studies. 王敏行 學位論文 ; thesis 166 zh-TW |
