We investigated the relationship among principals’ communication behavior, school organization climate, and the willingness of teachers to participate in administrative tasks as perceived by teachers. The ability of principals’ communication behavior and school organization climate as perceived by teachers to forecast teachers’ willingness to participate in administrative tasks was analyzed to derive a conclusion. We proposed recommendations based on the conclusion for the reference of the relevant units and personnel. We conducted questionnaire surveys in this study. The subjects were 535 teachers in public (municipal) junior high schools in Kaohsiung City. A total of 484 valid questionnaires were obtained. Finally, we analyzed the questionnaire data using descriptive statistics, t-tests, one-way ANOVA, Pearson’s product-moment correlation, and multiple stepwise regression. The following results were obtained: 1. Kaohsiung City junior high school principals’ communication as perceived by teachers was moderate to high level. The aspect of providing information received the highest score, and the aspect of promoting development received the lowest score. 2. The Kaohsiung City junior high school organization climate as perceived by teachers was moderate to high level. The aspect of teachers’ commitment behavior had the highest score, and the aspect of principals’ support behavior had the lowest score. 3. The willingness of Kaohsiung City junior high school teachers to participate in administrative tasks as perceived by teachers was moderate to high level. The aspect of active participation had the highest score, and the aspect of achievement expectations and promotion welfare had the lowest score. 4. Kaohsiung City junior high school principals’ communication behavior as perceived by teachers varied depending on the background variables. Principals’ communication behavior was perceived more highly among teachers who were at least 51 years old, those who acted as instructors, and those in schools with less than 12 classes. 5. Kaohsiung junior high school organization climate as perceived by teachers varied depending on the background variables. School organization climate was perceived as superior among teachers whose principals were in their first terms and those in schools with less than 12 classes. 6. The willingness of Kaohsiung City junior high school teachers to participate in administrative tasks as perceived by teachers varied depending on the background variables. The willingness to participate in administrative tasks was higher among teachers with at least 20 years of service and those who acted as part-time directors. 7. A significant positive relationship existed among principals’ communication behavior, school organization climate, and the willingness of teachers to participate in administrative tasks as perceived by junior high school teachers in Kaohsiung City. 8. Principals’ communication behavior and school organization climate as perceived by junior high school teachers in Kaohsiung City had significant predictive power for the willingness of teachers to participate in administrative tasks. Finally, we looked at the literature analysis and the statistical analysis from the questionnaires to derive the main findings of this study and draw a conclusion. Recommendations were proposed based on the conclusion for the reference of junior high school principals, the educational authorities, and subsequent researchers.
