Summary:碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 財務金融技術學系 === 103 === The main purpose of this study is to investigate the behavioral transformation process of junior high school students through their participation in youth development groups, and analyze the development of improving junior high school students’ thankfulness. The research subjects are junior high school students who have participated in the North Changhua Tzu Chi Youth Development Group activities and are from North Changhua County, including Changhua City, Xiushui Township, Fuxing Township, Huatan Township, Lukang Township, and Hemei Township. A three-month action research of service learning is conducted. The course design is to take participants to beach-cleaning community services and care for nursing homes service learning. Observation records, teaching reflections,document files, and interview records are collected and analyzed during the research. According to the results of data analyses, the following conclusion is as follows: 1. The attitude of parents towards the group would influence the willingness of the teenagers to attend. 2. After personally taking part in group activities, the teenagers would change their stereotypes of the group due to the content of the activities. 3. Experiencing service learning activities improves the gratefulness of the teenagers and enhance their interpersonal relationships. 4. When teenagers first come into contact with service learning, the guidance and encouragement of counselors are extremely important. 5. Parents’ participation in service learning programs would change their own opinions and offer parents experiential learning and growth. Based on the research results, suggestions for youth development groups, service learning, and future related research are provided.
