It’s found that weather factors have significant impact on security markets. Typhoons with strong winds and extremely heavy rains usually cause landslides, property collapse, floods, and other damage. Taiwan is located on the path of typhoons. Moreover, typhoon includes many weather factors, like sky cover, rainfall, and wind speed. This paper attempts to examine the relationship between the typhoon and the stock market. We find that typhoon has significantly negative influence on stock market in Taiwan.
