I selected a junior high school student with multiple disabilities as the case, and conducted in-depth interviews with parents and teachers as well as collecting relevant documentations. A hermeneutic phenomenological approach was adopted as the methodological guideline for this study. In addition, a thematic analysis method was used to analyze the texts to develop themes. Based on the results of this study, there were three major findings: (a) the key to activating the relocation process was to involve a knowledgeable figure outside of the IEP team who was trusted by parents in the decision making process; (b) the tremendous progress made by the student was due to effective parent-teacher communication, supports &; services tailored to the student’s needs; and (c) parents’ expectations of their child’ ability to learn were getting higher, and their attitudes towards professionals changed from distrust to approval. Based on the findings, I reflected on the research process, and further discussed the implications and recommendations for practice and future research. 詹孟琦 2014 學位論文 ; thesis 103 zh-TW
