Most of previous researches used the delay-and-sum beamforming method with a directional microphone array to achieve directional reception. However, this study combines delay-and-sum beamforming with optimization theory to achieve better controlled directional reception and steering angle of the directivity could also be controlled. The simulation results show that the directional microphone array reception can be significantly improved using the proposed directivity controlled microphone array steering angle method.
