Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中央大學 === 化學學系 === 103 === The purpose of this study is to utilize absorption spectroscopy, fluorescence spectroscopy, and femtosecond pulsed laser to measure the absorption spectra, fluorescence spectra, fluorescence lifetimes, fluorescence quantum yield and two-photon absorption spectra of three series of model molecules. This thesis is divided into six chapters and organized as follows: Chapter1: Introduction; Chapter2: Molecular Design; Chapter3: Result and Discussion; Chapter4: Synthesis; Chapter5: The spectrum of nmr and mass, and Chapter6: Experimental Section. The experimental results show that: (1) using thieno[3,4-c]pyrrole-4,6-dione as the π-center and electron-donating functional units as the end-groups will lead to better two-photon absorption; (2) all the imidazole-containing model compounds show high fluorescence quantum yields, but the incorporation of fluorene units does not lead to effective charge-transfer upon excitation. Therefore the molecular two-photon absorption performance of such model chromophores are under our expectation; (3) increase the number of thiophene units or extend the conjugated length of fused thiophene unit can effectively reduce band-gap and enhance the molecular two-photon absorption.
