Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立交通大學 === 網路工程研究所 === 103 === Infrastructure-as-a- Service (IaaS) has been a widely adopted cloud service for system owners to build their systems in the clouds. Clouds allow system owners to adjust their resource allocation dynamically on demand. Virtualization is actually the technology used for delivering the cloud resource. In such way, the implementation of the dynamic resources allocation would be easier. From system’s perspective, resource adjustment is actually “reconfiguration”. Reconfiguration is an important issue in the system life cycle. This thesis work is to propose a tool for helping the system managers to reconfigure their system easily. The work first gives a complete definition on reconfiguration command. This definition covers the common requirements in the reconfiguration issue, such as scaling direction and scaling policy. Second, the work implements the tool following that definition. Besides, the proposed tool is designed in the manner of to several principles, such as cross-cloud, plug-and-work, and discontinuity avoidance.
