| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立體育大學 === 體育研究所 === 103 === The purpose of this study was to explore table tennis development at grassroots level in the northern part of the Taoyuan City, which is taken as an example to investigate the state of grassroots table tennis development at the aspects of training, planning and difficulties encountered.
The subjects is a junior high school in Taoyuan City, focusing on the development of table tennis in last eight years, which is currently the only key schools in Taoyuan City.The qualitative was used for this research, which is by means of semi-structured interview outline to conduct in-depth interviews.
The study found that the reason why the team encountered difficulties is often because of the lack of resources, funding and the school's dormitory which lead to difficulties in admissions of players and team operation. Therefore, for future table tennis team management, it is a very important factor that external resources, and communication between school administrations can be effectively facilitated. This study proposes reference and recommendations for future research.
