Summary: | 碩士 === 國立體育大學 === 休閒產業經營學系 === 103 === The purpose of this study was to explore the media efficiency of the photos on the Apple Daily during the first round of 2013 World Baseball Classic from March 2nd to March 6th. The study also analyzed the ratio of photo to article to see the current trend in print media. The result showed the portion of the photos did not surpass the portion of the articles significantly though the Apple Daily was famous for impressing the readers with images. This confirmed the thesis that sports news was composed of mainly article and images as minor. Besides, the ratio of photo to article was about 4 to 6, and the total price of the media exposure was about 19,000,000. According to the daily media exposure, the performance of Chinese Taipei would have the impact on the price of the media exposure the next day. The match between Chinese Taipei and Korea on March 5th attracted the most attention. Conversely, the battle between Chinese Taipei and Netherland received the worst interest.
