Summary: | 碩士 === 國立暨南國際大學 === 終身學習與人力資源發展碩士學位學程碩士在職專班 === 103 === The purpose of this research is to explore the teacher's motivation to participate the In-service Master's degree program and the teacher efficacy of elementary school teachers in Taichung City, and also to explore the diverseness of the teachers from different background about their motivation and the current situation. The research investigates the relationships between these two groups and analyze if the motivation can predict the teacher efficacy.
The research is based on the analysis of the questionnaire survey "The teacher's motivation to participate the in-service education and the teacher efficacy in the elementary schools". The research subjects in this study were 242 elementary school teachers in Taichung City. The collected data were processed and analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson product-moment correlation and regression analysis method.
The research results are as follows:
1. The motivations to participate the in-service master’s degree program of the teachers in the elementary schools in Taichung is above the average, especially in "learning orientation." Compared with this, "activity orientation" isn’t very good.
2. The teacher efficacy of the teachers in the elementary schools in Taichung is above the average, especially in "teaching preparation and skill." Compared with this, "lesson plan and meterial organazation" isn’t very good.
3. There are obvious variations on teachers' motivations to participate the in-service master’s degree program from different age, marital status, and the size of the school.
4. There are obvious variations on teachers' motivations to participate the in-service education from whether taking part in the in-service master’s degree program or not.
5. There are obvious variations on the teacher efficacy from different size of the school.
6. There are obvious variations on the teacher efficacy from whether taking part in the in-service master’s degree program or not.
7. The correlation between teachers' motivations to participate the in-service master’s degree program and teacher efficacy was positive and significant.
8. The motivation to participate the in-service master’s degree program of the teachers can predict their teacher efficacy efficiently, especially in" learning orientation."
