Japanese started series of transformations in order to rebuild and reestablish the society balances. Two companies, Sony and Panasonic were also benefits from the reform and grasped the opportunity to grow into two consumer electronic product giants in the world for the next 50 years. After year of 2000, the two companies faced huge challenges from various affects those lead to the longest declining streak in the history. We put a research timeframe between 2000~2019. Studies began with “how” and “why” for not just the current events but also to look back some of the historical events regarding strategic management. Through extensive article and references to build up the research structure, combing with additional materials such as financial report, magazine and news articles to further analyze different management mode, strategic management and core competence between these two companies. This research was a study of the strategic management for international companies as examples. The goal was to find out the differences between these two companies with analytic conclusion and suggestion as a future reference.
