Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 政治經濟研究所 === 103 === Human rights are the basic rights that each person is-inherently entitled. Gender/sexuality issues are crucial themes recently in human rights. The main purpose of this thesis is to examine the practice of gender/sexuality education in Taiwan. It adopts the documentary analysis to find the trend of gender/sexuality rights and gender/sexuality education in formal education, and further takes the high school students as study objects. By in-depth interviewing them and comprehending their attitudes on gender/sexuality rights, the author enables to find that there are still myths and preconceptions in interviewees’ minds. The policy of education in Taiwan has neglected that gender/sexuality rights are also human rights, thus gender/sexuality education in high school is orderless without integrated syllabi and course directories. This thesis suggests that 1) the government should revise and integrate education directions on gender/sexuality issues and rights, 2) investing resources on teacher education, and 3) making sophisticated policies or regulations to promote gender/sexuality rights in Taiwan.
