First part is the primary aerosol, which is defined as direct emission.The other part is secondary aerosol, which is converted via complex chemical reactions from atmospheric precursor. This study analyzes the components of aerosols and calculates the formation rates. This study was simultaneously sampling the PM2.5 at nine sites in Tainan-Pingtung during 2014 November 19 to November 28, and analyzed PM2.5 water-soluble ions, carbon composition, and carbohydrate. This study used WRF model to simulate three dimensions meteorological field, and used HYSPLIT back trajectory model to simulate the path of air mass, selecting cases and calculate the generation of secondary aerosol between the two sites with spatial interpolation method, using the time of transportation between two sites to calculate formation rate. The formation rate of sulfur was 5.09±3.25%/hr,and formation rate of nitrogen is 1.91±1.68%/hr,and formation rate of carbon is 0.50±0.3%/hr. This study used tracer based method and organic carbon ratios in papers to estimate the organic carbon sources. By using the ratio in Gelencsér(2007), the results were A-SOC:84.3±6.72 %, A-POC:9.07±5.08 %, B-POC:6±5.3 %, and B-SOC:2.46±2.37 %.
