Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 系統及船舶機電工程學系 === 103 === This thesis investigates the effect of load change on the voltage and current at the output terminals of Ballard Mark V PEMFC (proton exchange membrane fuel cell) and zero-voltage-switching converters used as the power source of autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) based on Matlab/Simulink. Since the PEMFC produces dc output voltage that is easily affected by a load change and polarization losses, the PEMFC output terminals are connected to dc–dc converters for converting the unregulated voltage into desired voltage levels including 5V, 12V, 24V and 48V in order to supply the AUVs’ loads. Moreover, the effect of load change between light load and full load on the voltages and currents at the PEMFC terminal and load terminals is analyzed in this study. In addition, dc-dc power converters used in this thesis include zero voltage switching (ZVS) push-pull converters and ZVS half-bridge converters since they have advantages of better dynamic response and reducing switching losses which is suitable for a high power density of PEMFC.
