DeLeon 梁則撒 碩士 國立成功大學 系統及船舶機電工程學系 103 Ink tracing techniques are widely applied on the flow visualization field. Inspired by determining their accuracy at making the flow visible, this research is based on a comparison between two ink tracing formulas which will be tested following a series of seven ratios for each method. These ink tracing formulas are composed of three compounds, the formula A consists of oleic acid, paraffin oil and carbon dust. The formula B uses carbon dust, oleic acid and boiled linseed oil. There are two phases for this experiment. The phase one consists on testing them on a flat surface using a flat wooden plate. The second phase is done on a curved surface on a ship model to observe the difference of these paints and how they react on a curved surface. Both of these methods are tested at three speeds 0.5 m/s, 1 m/s and 1.5 m/s (Fr= 0.127, 0.254, 0.381). Throughout this qualitative research different results will be observed and carefully studied in order to determine which of these two formulas is the most appropriate for this type of experimental methods. The outcome of this particular research is showing that the formula A remains as an optimal formula in regards to flow visualization purposes. Jeng-Horng Chen 陳政宏 2015 學位論文 ; thesis 65 en_US
